Greetings from Bosnia, I just want to give you an update on the work that has been going on here in Bosnia. First of all, I want to tell you that the boys are really looking forward to the World Junior Ball Hockey Championships in St. Johns next month and they are counting the days until they leave. In Luke 18:6 Christ said "Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God." We have the team from Bosnia that will be coming to St. John's and while the majority of these children have heard the gospel before - they will hear it once again in Newfoundland form others who will be traveling to meet them and be with them for the championships. This event will be a dream come true for them and it will be a touch of the kingdom of heaven that awaits those that trust Christ as their Saviour.

We have got to let God do His work - we will plant the seed and hopefully there will be fruit that comes from it. All in God's timing - not ours. These boys live in a country of captivity since the war and now they will have an opportunity to taste freedom in a country like Canada. This will open their eyes and their hearts to the great God that we serve. Christ also said, "I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly". Christ not only gives us life, but He gives it more abundantly. They will have live abundantly throughout this world championship. We have an opportunity to bring them to a church in NF where some of these boys will hear the gospel free from outside pressures as exist in Bosnia today. We can be assured that Satan will attack at every opportunity and seek to destroy everything that is being done. Please continue to hold this project in prayer.

We are still looking for more support - we have five weeks to go and we are at 73% of our goal which means that we need to raise another $12000 (this amount may be $13000 due to the fuel surtax added by the airlines - we are still checking to confirm whether we are exempt). At this moment in time we have no sponsors other than the people of God. I understand that the other teams have corporate sponsors who provide financial assistance in return for the opportunity to advertise on team sweaters or with banners. We still have 5 weeks left to raise the remaining funds - each week for the next 5 weeks I will give you an update on where we stand in the project.
